January 2012 Update

I am both nervous and excited for what God has in store for me these next few months. Over the past few years my main job has been to be wife and mom for my wonderful family. On the side I have run this website, taken a few grad classes, scrapped, read, and well slept when I could. lol Things have changed very last minute for me and I'm looking at doing a student teaching practicum and completing my master's thesis this upcoming semester. As being a wife and mom will still be my full time job, I've got to cut some things out of my life for the next few months.

I set a goal for this site for Nov and Dec to see if enough people would be interested in my classes/templates and if I could earn enough money to justify the time it takes to keep writing new classes and creating new templates. I did not reach that goal. So I'm taking that as a sign to step away from this venture for a bit.

All of our current classes and templates will remain in the store and you will still be able to access them all by signing up for a month access to our class forums for only $10. This one month access will let you view and download all of my templates and the following classes: DigiScrap 101, Shadows, Blending In, Perfect Pictures, Tips for Text, Picasa, and Customizing your {Blogger} blog. It is an amazing deal!!! The subscription will not automatically renew, but you can always purchase it a second time if you didn't pick up everything you wanted.

I will not be adding any new classes for the next couple of months. If I have time I will try to put some free tutorials and templates up on the blog and facebook, so you may want to check in there periodically. Wish me luck as I'm starting this crazy semester. I know God has big plans.

I'm a beginner, where do I start?

If you are brand new to digital scrapbooking or to using Photoshop Elements (PSE), then you are in the right place to begin learning. I suggest that you start in our Free Member section of our forums. If you don't yet have PSE installed on your computer, then begin with the lesson on downloading and installing the program. If you already have the program installed, then you can look at the lesson on creating your first layout.

Once you have worked through these two lessons you are ready for a class subscription membership. Once you sign up you will have access to our paid member section of the forums where you will want to start with the DigiScrap 101 class. This class will walk you step by step through creating a few layouts. And the great thing about the class forums is that you can ask any question that comes up as you are working. Either myself or some of our members will be able to help you out and you will become a digi pro (and addict) in no time!

I'm an intermediate/advanced digital scrapbooker. Is this site relevant for me?

If you are already comfortable using PSE for scrapbooking, you may find a lesson or two in the Free Member Section of the forums that interest you but chances are you will be more interested in some of our inspiration in the Other Tutorials or Come and Create sections.

You will, however, find many informative lessons for you in our Paid Member Section of the forums. In each class except for DigiScrap 101, the lessons begin at an easier level and quickly move up to more challenging information. For example, in our Shadows class, you can learn how to create shadows in their own layers from scratch so that you can manipulate them however you want. In our Tips for Text class you will learn how to create your own alphas and word art. In our Perfect Pictures class you will learn about using adjustment layers.

There are also a huge selection of templates available in to our subscribers. You can browse the templates in our store to see what you will have access to with a subscription.
